The Wilson PAL Hiking Excursion is a one day adventure set in “the wilderness” to bring our youth closer to nature. This event focuses on trail/hiking skills along with recognizing amazing wildlife and foliage. The youth who attend this event get to interact with skilled hikers and BSA scout leaders. The event is usually held on a Saturday and consists of walking several trails at different parks that are determined by the coordinators. Our goal is to strength the relationship between youth and our department but also to show the youth there is so much more to discover when you venture outside and take to a trail.
