On May 11, 2017, the Wilson Police Department will hold its 19th annual Golf Tournament to benefit Kids with Special Needs.  It will be held at the Wilson Country Club and there will be an 0800 am  tee time and a 1:00 pm tee time.  In addition to the Golf Tournament several prizes and raffles will be held to assist in raising funds.  The funds generated from this Golf Tournament Fundraiser are used to assist with Wilson County Special Olympics Activities and with summer camp scholarships for kids with special needs called Camp Sunshine coordinated through the SPOT.  This past year the Wilson Police Department’s Police Athletics and Activities League achieved its 501c(3) status and the funds will be channeled through to better serve these activities.

The Wilson Police Department is dedicated to a philosophy of community policing which develops partnerships with the community to solve problems and improve the quality of life for all of our citizens.  This tournament annually really embodies the coming together of the Citizens of Wilson to raise money for this segment of our community.
